✧Everglades
With an average peak height of around 20,000ft, this extremely tall and cold mountain range with its tall peaks and steep cliffs and valleys proves very difficult and dangerous to navigate for those that are not adapted to it. Yet a decent amount of travellers try to, as its said the divine is closer here than anywhere else in Halantrea.
There are very few people capable of permanently living in the few semi-habitable spots in the range. Mainly Goliaths, Frost-Orcs, as well as White and Silver Dragonborn. Many of them claim an almost spiritual connection to the mountains.
The highest peak, standing far above all the others at over 46,000ft, is a lethal climb even for those that are used to the Everglades conditions. Its peak is shrouded in clouds, and despite many attempts, noone has reached it and returned.

Thousandyear
The City of the Thousand-Year Storm - often just referred to as Thousandyear - is built from dark stone in the lower peaks of the Everglade, under a never ending storm that's charged with arcane energies. Lightning strikes incessantly in the torrential rain, making being out in the open for long periods of time dangerous.
About half of its buildings are dedicated to storm deities, and many of their clerics see it as a destination for pilgrimage. Transporting of goods to its temples is a common religious service. Some scholars claim that storm-affine sorcerers draw their power from here.
Thousandyear is also popular with particularly bold magical researchers. The strong and volatile arcane energies allow drawing much more power for spellcraft and experiments.
Where these energies come from is unknown; and neither is when the storm actually started.
