Antekai's rocky, hot Steppes are situated in the eastern side of Halantrea, ranging from the border to the Golden Empire's Heartlands to the Moonswept Coast on the far east.
Broadly divided between its northern and southern half, the south is a sprawling mix of territories, home to people of all corners of Halantrea. Theyre famed for their excellent craftsmanship and trade, and the coastal regions are said to have the best seafarers anywhere on the continent. This generally gives a brittle security, as many are not willing to risk a collapse of trade or artisan goods from the regions.
The north - also known as Dendarisske (Land of the Dendari), sometimes called the snakelands - is the dominion of vicious Yuan-Ti merchant princes. Their territories are tightly controlled, including controlling access to the Crystalline Waste. Non-Yuan-Ti are treated as second-class people at best. Using their vast wealth and force, they are large influences even outside of their territories.
Lantheei, the Jewel of Antekai, is its largest city situated at the top of its coast, serving as a hub for seafaring and trade. Many influential traders orchestrate their operations from here.
Directly below it, the Moonswept Coast is a massive, half-circular bay that encapsulates almost the entirely of Antekais seaside. Tensions often arise on the coast as well as for ships crossing the area, as its waterside is also home to large amounts of aquatic people, such as Tritons.
